Women’s One Day Workshop & Networking Events
LEADING REIN PRESENTS
This is a one day development experience for busy women who want to understand what’s actually driving how they’re operating right now.
A day to step out of the daily roles and see your default settings with fresh eyes. Spot the patterns behind your decisions, behaviours, the way you communicate, and the impact that has on outcomes and the people around you.
This day blends practical tools, personal insight, and experiential learning. You won’t just talk about it. You’ll see it in real time. In yourself, and by observing others too.
It’s development you can take straight back into your work, your relationships, and your everyday life, so your next chapter reflects who you are now, not who you’ve had to be to get here.
Because you can’t always see it when you’re always in it.
And if you’ve been looking for a place to start, this is it.
This isn’t your standard development event..
Applicable.. Trainable.. Transferable..
What to Expect From The Day
Part of the day involves working with horses from the ground. There’s no riding, and you don’t need horse experience to get value from it.
The horses aren’t there for novelty. They respond to behaviour, not titles, good intentions, or explanations.
So instead of talking about how you handle pressure, you get to see it. In real time.
You’ll notice what you default to when things feel unclear, when you don’t have full control, or when you’re trying to “get it right”.
You’ll step out of your normal roles for a day and get a clearer read on yourself.
Not just personality but what drives you, what depletes you, what you default to, and what changes under pressure.
Most women leave saying, “This makes so much sense now.” And they’ve got language for it, not just a feeling.
The Path to Personal and Professional Alignment
Part of the day is ground-based work with horses. No riding. No horse experience needed.
In fact, not having horse experience is often a good thing, because this isn’t about “getting it right” with a horse.
It’s about noticing what you do when you’re unsure, when you’re trying to lead, when you’re trying to work it out with other people around.
If you own or run a business, lead or simply work with others
you’ll recognise how quickly the drive to accomplish can tip into over-functioning. This day helps you see what you default to under pressure, so you’re not running on stress responses without realising it.
Delegation Over Doing 🚨 You don’t always have to carry it all.
Notice when “I’ll just do it” kicks in and what that costs you and the people around you.
Spot Your Strengths 🚨 See how your behaviour style shows up in real time, both naturally and when uncertainty ramps up.
Update Old Strategies 🚨 Some of the habits that helped you succeed are now running on autopilot. This day helps you spot what’s outdated, what still serves, and what needs upgrading for where you’re heading next.
Your Facilitator
I’m Melissa Duniam, founder of Leading Rein and most recently the 2023 Tasmanian winner of the AgriFutures Rural Women’s Award for this project.
I married into a third-generation dairy farm and spent more than 20 years juggling business, family, and rural life. That season taught me a lot about responsibility, pressure, and the patterns we build to keep everything moving, even when the cost starts creeping up.
In 2016, a serious farm accident forced a reset I didn’t ask for. It became a turning point because I could see how easy it is to live on auto-pilot for years and believe its “just what you do”.
Now I work with other busy women who are ready for what’s next, and want a new way forward that doesn’t come at the cost of energy, wellbeing, or sense of self.

“This isn’t about adding more to your plate. It’s about coming back to yourself, seeing what’s really running who you believe you are in the background, and moving into your next version with more awareness. This is personal and professional development through a self-leadership lens.”
What Are Others Saying About The Workshops?
“I would strongly recommend this unique experience to all, from individuals, teams and to business leaders. It’s an opportunity to invest in yourself and others, to take time out and build confidence, resilience and leadership skills, all while shedding hang-ups and having fun.”
EMMA People, Operations & Business Partner
“This was the first leadership space that felt less about adding more hard skills and more about coming back to myself. I felt supported, and left with practical strategies I’m now using with my team. A powerful reminder that leading well starts with backing yourself first.”
